What to Do This St. Patrick’s Day in Lehigh Valley

Looking to have some family-friendly fun this St. Patrick’s Day? There are plenty of wonderful events right here in the Slatington area, so go grab your green clothes, pack the kids into your trusty Chevy from Rentschler Chevrolet, and get ready for a delightful St. Patrick’s Day in Lehigh Valley.

Allentown St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The holiday parade in Allentown is one of the most spectacular in the region. This year marks the 62nd year of the event. The parade kicks off at 1:30 p.m., but you’ll want to arrive early for the fun pre-event activities, like the Flag Raising Ceremony that starts at 11:45 a.m., and also to secure a spot with a good view of the procession.

Girardville St Patrick’s Day Parade

Didn’t get enough St. Patrick’s Day fun on the 17th? Then head to Girardville for round two on March 30. The parade kicks off at noon, but plan to stay for the day to enjoy the full range of festivities.

West End Pat’s 5K

Feeling a little guilty about all the corned beef, soda bread, and shamrock-shaped sugar cookies you’ve indulged in? Leave that guilt in the dust by participating in West End Allentown’s annual 5K run. Even if you don’t want to run yourself, it’s a fun event to witness — we’re talking plenty of people sporting crazy leprechaun costumes and other eclectic holiday-inspired attire.

Stop by Rentschler Chevy if your family is in need of a new vehicle to transport to and from these engaging events.
