Not in the mood for an electric Silverado? No worries. Rumor has it that Chevrolet has an electric Equinox and Blazer in progress. Though, we don’t have all of the details on these two exciting models, here’s what we know about them so far.
According to some photos that GM leaked, the Equinox EV has a more aerodynamic profile than the current Equinox model. It also incorporates a thin, wide LED bar and thick rear pillars for an edgy look. Per GM, pricing for this ride will start at the $30K mark, as TechCrunch’s Kirsten Korosec confirms.
The electric Blazer will strike a balance between sophisticated options and an affordable price. Per Kelley Blue Book’s Sean Tucker, it’s likely that this model will borrow the brand’s Ultium platform.
Both electric models are set to hit the market in fall of 2023 as Chevy and other manufacturers start releasing their 2024 lineup. We’ll have to sit tight for a bit longer as we wait for the automaker to reveal more details about the Equinox and Blazer EVs. However, given the popularity and versatility of the current Equinox and Blazer, the zero-emission variants promise to be worth the wait.
