General Motors is rolling out wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ on some 2021 model year vehicles, starting with the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer, which is already available on dealership lots.
Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ let you use your favorite smartphone apps for messaging, calling, navigation, and streaming through the large, centrally located touch screen in your dashboard. This makes accessing these apps while you drive safer and much more convenient.
Until now, you had to plug your phone in using a USB cord to sync it with your in-car touch screen, but new 2021 GM models let you get rid of even more clutter in your car with wireless connectivity to Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. You won’t find this feature available anywhere else besides high-end luxury brands.
Plus, wireless smartphone connectivity goes hand-in-hand with wireless phone charging, another feature that adds convenience and safety to your driving experience and reduces the number of cords you have to worry about, freeing up space.
Many new GM vehicles will have this capability, including the 2021 Chevy Suburban, the GMC Yukon, and the Buick Encore GX, among others. GM wireless smartphone connectivity will also be available on some upcoming 2022 models, including the new Chevy Camaro and Traverse.
You can find the latest Chevy models on our dealership lot at Rentschler Chevrolet in Slatington, PA.
