Since vehicles are a big investment, every driver wants their car to last as long as possible. While many modern vehicles can reach the 200,000-mile mark, your chances of reaching that milestone are much higher when you choose to drive a Chevy.
According to iSeeCars.com, Chevrolet was ranked fourth in a study of the longest-lasting brands of vehicles.
The study found that 1.4 percent of Chevrolet vehicles reached 200,000 miles. While that may not sound like a lot of cars, it’s well above the overall average of approximately 1.0 percent. The study in question included 15.8 million vehicles from many major automakers. The dependable Chevy Silverado is a large part of the reason for Chevrolet’s excellent ranking. While 1.4 percent of Chevy models lasted longer than 200,000 miles, 2.0 percent of Silverado models reached this same milestone.
However, another Chevrolet vehicle managed to last even longer than the Silverado — the Chevrolet Suburban.
Indeed, iSeeCars.com found that 4.9 percent of Suburban models included in the study managed to exceed the 200,000 miles. This made the Suburban one of the longest-lasting vehicles on the road today.
