Chevrolet recently unveiled the all-new 2020 Corvette. The mid-engined Chevrolet Corvette is the first Corvette to place the engine behind the passenger seats.
The new engine placement benefits the sports car tremendously with its additional weight upon the rear axle. The car can now accelerate faster and has increased rear-end traction. With more rear weight, there’s also better braking, so the car can change directions quickly and with greater ease.
The Chevrolet Corvette as a whole has a different appearance because of the mid-engine. The car’s unique appearance is marked by a steeper hood line. There’s also a new front cargo area so you can now place items in the front and in the trunk.
The steering wheel, hood, instrument panel, and cowl are now able to be lower, so you have enhanced forward visibility. Plus, the new 6.2-liter LT2 V8 engine achieves a powerful 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The car’s new design also has cooling and aerodynamic benefits.
We at Rentschler Chevrolet are proud to offer the Chevrolet Corvette at our dealership. We encourage you to take the sports car out for a test drive to see its innovative features in person.
